glee gifts, a gift boutique located in Mansfield, MA is proud to announce their 2013 Charity Partnership with Hearts for Hope.  Hearts for Hope is a Mansfield-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for families affected by Cystic Fibrosis.  The foundation offers financial support to families struggling to live with the devastating disease.

“Cystic Fibrosis is a cruel disease,” says Ann Foley-Collins, owner of glee gifts. “It’s an inherited disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide).”

Fallon Finegan was a sophomore at Mansfield High School when she lost her life to Cystic Fibrosis.  The Hearts for Hope Foundation was established in 2009 prior to Fallon's death as her family noticed families needed help just getting by day to day.  In addition a Fallon P. Finegan Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established at Mansfield High School to help graduating seniors with expenses associated with college. 

“When a child is sick in the hospital, parents and caregivers may need financial support. Hearts for Hope helps families pay medical bills, parking and transportation fees and even household and utility bills to help ease the enormous financial burden.  It’s a wonderful caring organization,” says Foley-Collins, “and I look forward to doing whatever we can to raise funds to meet their goals.”

For the remainder of the year, glee gifts will donate 10% of sales from The Naked Bee--a high-quality, natural personal care line of lotions and soaps—to the foundation. glee gifts will also host shopping events throughout the year, donating 10% of the proceeds from that day to Hearts for Hope. 

“The support from people in the community and businesses like glee gifts has been tremendous and we are so appreciative,” says Michelle Kilduff, a Hearts for Hope committee member.  “It’s very touching that people continue to support Hearts for Hope and honor the memory of Fallon and her wish to help others dealing with Cystic Fibrosis.”
