QMS PAC Says "Thank You" to Local Community for a Great Year!
On behalf of the QMS Parent Advisory Council (the PAC), we would like to thank the community for making a difference in the lives of QMS students this year. Together we raised over $35,000, with an additional $2,700 worth of technology and books obtained through the proceeds from the Scholastic Book Fair.
Your contributions were focused on helping every student succeed by supporting the educational experience at QMS and the school's improvement plan goals. The PAC awarded almost $10,000 in grants to teachers and teams to enhance and enrich students' educational experience and over $10,000 toward classroom technology at QMS, along with training opportunities for teachers to enable them to use the technology more effectively. PAC funds also paid for new initiatives like the QMS After School Study Center, need-based scholarships for students attending the Mansfield Summer Achievement Academy, and for extending the learning day through after-school clubs and activities, which provided students with more time for hands-on learning and more opportunities to explore new areas of interest.
Our sincere appreciation to our business and community donors for their continued support of QMS and the Mansfield Public Schools: Barrow's Insurance, Bertucci's Pizza, Carriage House Confections, Mansfield Bank, Mansfield Cultural Council, Fidelity Charitable, Smith & Nephew.
A special thank you to the members of the MHS National Honor Society who served as tutors in the QMS After School Study Center.
Finally, we are especially grateful to our QMS parents for their support; whether you contributed financially or gave the gift of your time to volunteer for PAC activities, we could not do all that we do each year without your help.
