Willowdale Golf Tournament Raised $4,342 for Mansfield Animal Shelter's Veterinary Expense Fund
Willowdale Golf Tournament Raised $4,342.00 for Mansfield Animal Shelter's Veterinary Expense Fund
Despite heavy rain and a tornado watch the night before, on the morning of the tournament skies cleared, the sun shone, and the Willowdale Golf Tournament was a huge success. Organized each year by Carl and Lorna
Pruell, with help from shelter volunteers, the tournament has made major contributions first to the new shelter building fund, and now to the veterinary expense fund for shelter animals. This contribution is a huge help since all of the shelter animals' vet expenses are paid exclusively by Mansfield Shelter Friends.
New this year were pink flamingoes stationed around the golf course. Donated for the day by golfer
Arthur O’Neil, the flamingo sponsorships raised an additional $1,000 for the tournament.
