I won't stop using Amazon because of this law, but it will certainly affect how much I spend. Especially if things like MP3's and other digital downloads also fall under this new tax law.

Every regulation, every tax that govt imposes is a bite into a person's freedom. As of now, we still have the freedom to pick and choose where we shop. Although I don't like the Sales Tax, I enjoy the discounts and the free shipping I receive from Amazon. If, in the long run, my costs are below the business that charges retail prices, I will still shop with Amazon. You know, my $$$ matters to me, The more I can receive for my $$$, the better. Too bad for the local retailer if they can't compete w/discount businesses because, if they wanted business bad enough they, TOO, would find a way to attract people. Why should I drive (gas costs) to a store, wait to be served (time is $$$) and pay full price? I'd be foolish to do so. Online, I stay at home, no crowds and get a better deal Its a "no brainer" for me.
