Early Morning Car Fire Sends 1 to Hospital

A women was taken to Rhode Island Hospital after suffering injuries in a car crash early Friday morning.

A woman is lucky to be alive after surviving a March 15 early morning car crash.

According to the Sun Chronicle, a woman in her 50s, whose name has not been released, lost control of her vehicle at 1:45 a.m. on the ramp from Interstate 95 South to Interstate 495 South, hitting the median and many trees along the way.

The woman was able to escape before her car was engulfed in flames for 45 minutes. Mansfield fire was able to put out the flames and the woman was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

The crash is under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police.
