Friday
Nick Rossi is playing at the Tavern in Wrentham at 7 p.m. to close. Join the Tavern as he plays covers of all kinds, simulating every instrument, from drums to sax, violen to sitar and more.
There will be Bingo at St. Mary's Church in Norton at 6:45 p.m.
The Comcast Center in Mansfield is presenting Jason Mraz at 7 p.m. today.
The Yardbirds are playing at Showcase Live at Patriot Place today at 6 p.m.
Saturday
The Comcast Center in Mansfield is presenting ZZ Top and Lyrnyrd Skynyrd at 7 p.m. today.
Saturday is Wrentham Day at the Wrentham Town Common. The day will include booths from local town groups, sports groups, and even the fire department to promote their organizations and show what they have been up to. Click here to see what happened last year.
The Friends of Adams Farm will hold a raffle for "October at Adams Farm", an oil painting of the Adams Farm barn by local artist JT Harding, on Saturday, Sept. 8 (rain date: Sunday, Sept. 9). The winning ticket will be drawn at 5 pm. Proceeds from the raffle will be used to maintain the Farm property.
The Norton Hoopsters will be hosting a fundraiser at 8 a.m. The event features a Multi Family Yard-Bake Sale and a Yankee Candle Gift Basket Raffle
Sunday
Sunday is National Grandparents' Day. If you have a grandparent or a senior friend of the family, be sure to celebrate them today. Our seniors are one of our greatest assets and have so much to teach us. If you don't have a senior to celebrate today, consider contacting your local senior center to see if there is a senior you could "adopt" in your town.
Mansfield is hosting Prenatal Yoga today at 10:15 a.m. Led by Michelle Connolly, a certified yoga instructor, who is also a nurse and childbirth instructor. Michelle teaches prenatal yoga at Breathe Joy Yoga in Sharon and the Attleboro YMCA.
Trinity Bar & Restaurant in Norton is hosting Karaoke from Karl Bock at 8 p.m.
Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro is presenting their Summer BBQ Series at 3 p.m. Chef Lacy will be putting together a special selection of Small Plates that are prepared patio side on our new commercial grade grill. These small plates will feature an eclectic mix of ingredients from our local farming partners, including our very own Tastings run farm put together an amazing selection of small plates that are designed to be cooked on the grill and shared amongst friends and family. Be sure to check out their grill-friiendly patio menu each Sunday from 3 to 8pm.
Norton Meat Raffle - Nine raffles of meat and one 50/50 raffle. Food for purchase so bring your appetite. Starts at 7:30 p.m.
