Mansfield Chocolate Stroll will be a Walk to Remember

Second annual Chocolate Stroll presented by the Mansfield Downtown Business Association.

After the Mansfield Chocolate , the Mansfield Downtown Business Association is going for it again. Over 25 businesses on North Main St. will be giving out free chocolate.

Cindy O'Brien, owner of the , is organizing the event. The gallery will also be offering a free kids crafting event during the walk's hour's. O'Brien said she got the idea while she was working in North Attleboro.

"The inspiration was from north attleboro's chocolate stroll, where i previously founded and ran an artist collaborative in that downtown for three years and took part in their event," She said.  "It was a great way to get people to visit businesses, so when i opened Artiste here in mansfield's downtown, i organized the event last year."

Last year's walk was a big success, and like last year, each participating business will be marked by red balloons.

"Visitors loved what we did last year and were happy to see we had some new businesses downtown," O'Brien said. "We had just about half and half kids to adults. "

With the myriad of parades and events in Mansfield, the chocolate walk picks up during a slump in the communities season.

"I would like to make it an annual event since this time of year is quiet," O'Brien said.  "The best part for visitors is enjoying a walk downtown and receiving chocolates."

The event starts on Saturday at 11 a.m. and goes to 1 p.m.
