Mansfield Police Log: Drug Arrests, Shoplifting and Ducklings
The following is from the Mansfield Police Log from May 3 to May 7.
12:22 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that there has been a fraudulent check/lottery scam that was mailed to her.
1:41 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that a dog had bitten her in the past. Animal Control Officer Jeffrey Collins said that there was a ten-day quarantine on the animal already after the initial incident.
2:00 p.m. Caller reported a fight at Memorial Park. Police reported a large group dispersal on arrival, no witnesses or involved parties found.
8:30 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that four youths in a gold color Camery were “smoking a blunt” in a parking lot on Erick Road. One person was arrested for possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute.
10:14 a.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated a larceny had taken place at American Paper Recycling of approximately $67,000.
11:35 a.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that his vehicle was broken into while parked on James Street during the night.
2:03 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that a mother duck and her ducklings were attempting to cross Route 140 near Norfolk Street.
4:43 p.m. Maiia Johanson, 34, of 689 Main St. in Walpole was arrested for shoplifting by means of asportation and shoplifting by price tag tampering.
12:42 p.m. Caller reported a past larceny on Franklin Street in which several Xanax and Addoral pills were taken along with $650 in cash and a check for $600.
5:14 p.m. Caller reported that a tenant on Otis Street disassembled her porch and sunroom and left it in the yard.
4:34 p.m. Shannon Fitzpatrick, 38, of 150 Rummford Ave. and Jonathan Parker, 21, of 77 South Main St. were both arrested and charged with possession of a class A substance (heroin) and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Another party was charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws and being present where heroin is kept. The three were picked up after a call from the Catman Café.
5:41 p.m. Two juveniles were arrested for larceny over $250 after a shoplifting incident at Kohl’s.
