Truck Carrying Tacos Crashes on I-95 South in Mansfield Sending Driver to the ER [VIDEO]
A car accident on the Mansfield/North Attleboro line send the driver to the hospital and slowed traffic.
The Mansfield Fire Department along with Massachusetts State Police officials responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95 south by Exit 6 just after 9 a.m. Thursday morning.
The driver, who was pinned in the vehicle, was pulled from the truck by Mansfield emergency medical technicians.
Mansfield Fire Lt. Richard Fiske said the 50-year-old driver from Revere, who was carrying tacos for Cinco De Mayo Mexican Foods Corp., was brought to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials from the Massachusetts Highway Department and workers from Sterry Street Towing helped to clear the scene of debris and haul away the damaged truck.
Just before the crash in Mansfield and less than 2 miles away the Attleboro Fire Dept. and Massachusetts State Police responded to a one-car accident on Interstate-95 south just before exit 5 on the North Attleboro/Attleboro line. The driver of the truck lost control of his truck, which was carrying lobsters, after his left front tire blew out. The driver was killed in the crash.
