Hundreds, if not thousands of people came out on Tuesday for the Mansfield Family Fun Night. Mansfield residents and those from surrounding communities crowded North Main St. for well over three hours, sampling the fare of the night's participating businesses.

The night was organized and presented by the Mansfield Downtown Business Association.

Mansfield Downtown Business Association is a non- profit organization comprised of owners of businesses and other non-profit groups along North Main Street in Mansfield, MA.

Family Fun Night is a great event. I think Mansfield should have more events like this in the downtown area. It brings people downtown and is good for local businesses. How about live music in the summer?

There is live music every other Wednesday in the summer on the common. Movies are the alternating Wednesdays.

Don't forget about Casy's! They have live piano most nights and local bands on others. The pianist is really good, and does versions of classic songs (even Freebird, but he didn't look too happy about it) and some of the most amazing piano jazz I have heard in a while.
Here's this week's schedule:
FRIDAY 7/15 -
BRENDAN LYNCH acoustic for happy hour - 5-8 followed by
DUELING PIANOS! Been to Jake Ivory's or Howl at the Moon before?
- PAT DURKIN brings the fun entertainment of dueling pianos to Mansfield!

SATURDAY 7/16 - Piano with STEVE 6-9 then THE GALLEY DAWGS rock the house with Classic Rock & Blues

SUNDAY 7/17 - Get your Irish on with ERIN OG!
