Under the direction of Police Chief Arthur O'Neill and Lieutenants Walter Crickard and James Seekell, the Mansfield police department provides citizens with a full range of emergency response services. A staff of nine public safety dispatchers and 34 officers provide round-the-clock service to this growing community.

The department offers parents of young children a free safety inspection of their child's car seat courtesy of Officer Richard Hopkins, a trained certified safety inspector. Officer Hopkins educates parents on age/weight appropriate purchase and installation of child safety seats. Parents may call or stop by the station to schedule an appointment.
