Important School Dates, Minimum Wage Increase Impacts and More

Five things to know in Mansfield for Tuesday, Jan. 7.

1. Important January Dates: The following dates will affect students of the Mansfield Public School System for January: 

  • Jan. 15: Half-Day System wide
  • Jan. 20: No School (M.L. King Day)
  • Jan. 30: Half-dayDay for Mansfield High School (Parent Conferences 12-2:30/6:30-8:30 p.m.)
2. Travelers should note that JetBlue has halted flights in and out of Boston, NYC and Newark, NJ through 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. 

3. Want to know how the potential minimum wage increase will affect your business? Join the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce for a discussion with State Senator Jim Timilty, Representatives; Jay Barrows, Betty Poirier and Steve Howitt, Tuesday, Jan. 7 at the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce, 280 School St., in Mansfield.

4. 5.  Join the Mass Audubon's Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary on Tuesday in Attleboro at 10 a.m. to make observations, explore nature-related seasonal topics  while having fun exploring the outdoors.
