Additional Vendors Support Food Pantry in 'Shop Til You Drop' Fundraiser

Additional vendors and raffle items have been added to Shop Til You Drop, an annual fundraiser for Our Daily Bread (http://www.mansfieldfoodpantry.org) hosted by the Mansfield Mothers' Club. This marquee event invites everyone in the community to shop for holiday gifts (or indulge themselves!) while supporting the approximately 100 local families who are served by the food pantry. It is set for Friday, Nov. 8, from 7 - 10 p.m., at the Elks Lodge, 140 North Main St., Mansfield.

Shop Til You Drop is open to the public. Admission is $5 at the door OR a bag of non-perishable grocery items. All proceeds from admission, raffle tickets and vendor table rentals will go directly to Our Daily Bread.

“As soon as I heard this occasion would help feed local families, a mission close to my heart, I was excited to get involved,” said Ray DeAgrela, owner of Norton-based Ray’s Tasty Creations catering, who will provide scrumptious appetizers for the event and has a Mansfield location, called Tasty Ray's, opening soon at 20 South Main Street.

Serving those in need from the Mansfield community since 1997, Our Daily Bread: Friends Caring and Sharing is an all-volunteer outreach project of The Orthodox Congregational Church of Mansfield that distributes food to residents of Mansfield.

“We're honored to be part of this important event. Supporting our neighbors, our own backyard is critical in every community,” said Linda Waters, owner of Franklin-based Beads for a Cause, which is also donating 20 percent of sales at the event to Our Daily Bread.

“We’d love to have a line around the block! Pantry volunteers rely on donations like these year round to help individuals and families put healthy, balanced meals on their tables. We hope everyone in Mansfield and our neighboring towns consider stopping by for a few minutes, enjoying the tables and prizes we’ve assembled and supporting Our Daily Bread,” said Mansfield Mothers’ Club Vice President and Event Chair Dianne Richard.
