Joseph P. Kennedy Visits Franciscan Hospital for Children

Recently, Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy, III paid a visit to Franciscan Hospital for Children in Brighton to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy Day School and tour the hospital’s range of services. The Kennedy family were original benefactors of the hospital when it was built in 1939; and the school was named for Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. who was killed in action during World War II. Today, the Kennedy Day School provides fully collaborative special education, therapeutic, and health services to over 60 students, ages 3 to 22, with significant, complex needs from more than 30 cities and towns across Massachusetts.
