Letter of Thanks - Family Fun Night 2013

On behalf of Mansfield’s Downtown Business Association, we would like to send a very special thank you to all of the participants, including our local businesses, non-profit organizations, clubs, scouts, and crafters in the Annual Family Fun Night on July 9th. The event wouldn’t be possible without your time, contributions, information, ideas, and activities for all!  

Once again the sun shined and the spirit of Mansfield was alive and well on Main Street as guests strolled along enjoying good food, fun, and friendship.

We are particularly grateful to DBA members Caitlin Barrows of Barrows Insurance Agency and Gail Todd of True Value, who coordinated this year’s Family Fun Night. With no past experience they were able to spread the word through emails, flyers, newsletters, banners, and simple word of mouth in just a few months. This year’s event drew in over 100 exhibitors, including 15 newcomers, and raised a record-setting $2,100 that will enable the DBA to continue its tradition of sponsoring the annual Holiday Stroll on Main Street for 2014.

The Downtown Business Association of Mansfield was founded nearly 20 years ago, and its mission is to promote the community spirit and vitality of downtown Mansfield and its businesses.  Community outreach, like the Family Fun Night and the Holiday Stroll, has always remained a priority, and a truly enjoyable aspect of the organization. 

We are inviting new members to join in and gather with the group to discuss potential future events, and how to better our established plans.  The DBA meets on a monthly basis in the Mansfield Town Hall and is always engaging new ideas and suggestions.

We look forward to more participants to join in celebrating Family Fun Night next summer, and as always, we hope you shop and patronize Downtown Mansfield all year long!
