MHS Entrepreneurs Make Donation to the Brooke DuBeau Family Fund

Mansfield High School’s Entrepreneurship students successfully ran a small business selling custom Mansfield tumbler cups during the spring trimester.  Students presented their business proposals to each other and decided as a group to pursue the tumbler cup project.  They collaborated to design the logo that would be printed on the tumblers, and then worked on how to market the business and increase sales.  After analyzing their finances, students determined that a $450 charitable donation would be possible.  The students donated $450 to the Brooke DuBeau Family Fund on behalf of Mansfield High School.

Since the inception of this “small business” project in Mrs. Prester’s Entrepreneurship classes, students have donated over $3,000 to local charities and organizations, while also funding future trimesters of Entrepreneurship students to complete the same project.  The project was born from a grant awarded by the Mansfield Education Foundation to increase classroom innovation and authentic learning experiences.

A limited number of tumbler cups are still available for $5 each.  The tumblers are BPA-free, double walled to prevent sweating, and hold 16 ounces.  If interested, please contact jacqueline.prester@mansfieldschools.com.
