Best of Patch Reader's Choice: Grogan/Marciano Mansfield's Choice For Sporting Goods

With Opening Day for Baseball coming up, it is time to scramble to buy those baseball gloves.

Luckily, there is a place right here in town where all your sporting good needs can be bought, whether you're a baseball player, softball player lacrosse player, or any athlete.

, won this week's "Best of Reader's Choice Poll," which asked Mansfield residents where they go to buy sporting goods. Grogan/Marciano has been offering their services for almost 40 years now in Mansfield.

Tyler Grogan, son of owner Mark Grogan, said that he feels the store did well on the poll because they offer more than just retail generic items.

"You can go to Sports Authority and get a baseball glove or whatever," he said. "A lot of times, you can't get help there. We're mainly a team business. Most of our customers are people coming in looking for jerseys for their teams or t-shirts for their organizations."

Grogan said the store serves teams in Mansfield, Sharon, Foxborough and Easton. He also added that right now he is working on an order for jerseys for the Mansfield girls varsity lacrosse team, in memory of Michaela Smith.
