How Bad is Your Commute?

Mansfield Patch readers opine on traffic trouble spots in town.

We posted a Facebook status on Monday asking Mansfield residents about their commutes.

We asked the question in conjunction with an article that we ran on Tuesday about the commute times for people in different areas of Mansfield

Our Facebook status was:

We’re working on an article about which parts of town have the worst commutes? Can you help us out by telling us what you think? How long is your commute from your neighborhood, and do you think it's the worst in town?

Brian H. Levesque said, "Anything that involves driving the 4-6pm timeframe the stretch of 106 from the turning lane off 140 south, over to bank of america at n main."

Marie Abazorius Stephan said, "I'm with ^^^^ brian. Train traffic kills it every day. I'd rather deal with Great Woods traffic on a concert day. And yes it will always be Great Woods."

Linda Mercier-Janssen said, "Getting onto 106 from East street at Mansfield Green is the worst. No visibility to take a left until your vehicle is just about into oncoming traffic. The wait is bad enough, but after taking the left turn, the traffic from the right is screaming towards your car at rapid speed. Very scary. The wait to get out stinks at that location."

Tina Mgs said, "Amen to that. Never could understand why there's no light there. I avoid coming out onto 106 there. I come from the west and turn right onto East street and typically wave a couple of cars to cross ahead of me before I go, but after dropping off kiddo at school, I just continue past schools and exit the area by way of Park/West or Copeland."
