The Keep Mansfield Beautiful Committee, founded by Neil Rhein, started over four years ago and shows no signs of stopping.
"We've got a long list of accompishments for four years," Rhien said.
The group started with basic litter cleanup and pressing community leaders to take an interest in cleaning up the town. Now, the Great Mansfield Cleanup is a major event with hundreds of volunteers combing the streets for litter.
"We've been raising awareness in the community about the fact that the appearence of the community matters," he said. "Residents, business owners and even town government are paying more attention to these things now."
Litter cleanup isn't the only thing the group is doing. Trash can painting, flower beds and supporting the Route 106 Mural project has also been aims for the group to not only maintain the look of the town, but also improve it.
"The work is never done," he said. "The current focus on downtown, we hope to continue with that."
