Mansfield Cable Access Debuts “Mansfield Matters”

Mansfield Matters to feature local residents talking about issues close to them.

Mansfield Cable Access Television (Channel 9) will add a new program to its line-up this fall – Mansfield Matters, an interview program hosted by local resident Danielle Fish.

Mansfield Matters will debut with guests from the Mansfield Pop Warner football league.  President Pat Farragher and long-time coach Chris Driscoll will sit down with Fish along with some young athletes.  The Hockomock Area YMCA Health & Wellness program is also on tap to be a guest.

"We always welcome new programming from residents,” said producer Jack O’Neil.  “I’ve worked with Danielle before and I think she’ll be a great addition.”

“I’m excited to return to the cable studio here in Mansfield and join an already great line-up of programs. ” stated Fish. “There’s so much going on in our community and I looking forward sharing more about people and places we already know and perhaps introducing local viewers to some new ones as well.”

Fish co-hosted Mansfield Political Notebook on Mansfield Cable a few years ago with Tom Flanagan. The show primarily focused on area Republican candidates and issues, in part due to her role as the elected State Committeewoman for MassGOP in which she served for seven years.  More recently, she was co-hosting on the popular Everything But The Kitchen Sink with Dan Pascucci.  With Pascucci’s move to nearby Easton, both he and the station encouraged Fish to create a similar program of her own.  Fish notes that it is important to focus on candidates and issues, but hopes to broaden the scope, too.

“I’ll continue to offer a forum for candidates and elected officials, but I also want to help engage our local board members and community volunteers.  It’s important to understand the valuable service they provide to Mansfield and get to know them as well,” said Fish.
