Mansfield Park and Rec Presents Dog Training

How to Do What Your Dog Doesn't Want to Do.

The Mansfield Park & Recreation Department invites you to attend a presentation by Jane Young on how to successfully build daily skills in your dogs needed to get him to do the stuff he doesn’t want to do.  This topic was suggested by a participant in a previous demo.  Admission is free and open to the public. We will be holding this information packed session on Tuesday, June 12th, 2012 beginning at 7:00pm at the Mansfield Public Library’s, 255 Hope Street in Mansfield.

During the presentation Jane will discuss all the ins and outs of teaching your dog skills needed to allow you to properly care for you dog.  Issues to be discussed will be putting on a collar, leash and harness, going to the vet, going to the groomer, clipping nails, brushing teeth and brushing coat.  Jane teaches all dogs, whether for basic manners or for high level competition, through strictly positive reinforcement; no fear or pain-based training is used. All ages are welcome but please leave your best doggy friends at home and be prompt so as not to interrupt the presentation.   Come with your ideas as to what your dog needs to do that you have trouble accomplishing.
