Mansfield Resident Volunteers in the Dominican Republic

Kaitlyn McGowan, a resident of Mansfield, Mass. and a member of the class of 2012 at Providence College, recently spent a week working in the Dominican Republic, as part of the College’s Feinstein Academic Institute’s Alternative Spring Break 2012 program.

McGowan was among 60 Providence College students who volunteered to spend their spring break to work in 4 different locations around the world.

In the Dominican Republic, McGowan, along with 23 PC students, taught English to children at schools and orphanages and worked in a health clinic.
