Barbara Lindsay of Mansfield won a trip for two to see the New England Patriots play in London, England on Oct. 28 vs. the Rams courtesy of Virgin Atlantic Airways.
The prize was given out as part of random drawing following the inaugural Covidien Wellness Walk on Tuesday, August 28 at TPC Boston as part of the Deutsche Bank Championship’s week long celebration.
The Walk, which allowed participants to walk the first 9 holes of TPC Boston, raised money to benefit the Joslin Diabetes center.
Teresa Hacunda, Civic Affairs Director at Covidie presented the Joslin Diabetes Center with a $7,500 donation prior to the Patriots drawing.
“For 10 years we have taken great pride in creating a family-friendly Championship that all spectators can enjoy,” said Eric Baldwin, Deutsche Bank Championship Director. “We’ve provided fans with unprecedented access to the Championship course, and also focused on our commitment to philanthropy. The Covidien Wellness Walk provides the best of all worlds — a behind the scenes experience for fans, combined with health education, exercise and fundraising for an important cause. We’re absolutely thrilled to add this charitable event to our Championship week schedule.”
