Mansfield's Memorial Day Parade

Mansfield honors its fallen.

Mansfield will be starting its Memorial Day Parade on Monday to honor those who died while serving in the United States Military.

The ceremonies begin at the the Spring Brook and 's cemeteries with flag ceremonies  by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3264 Honor Guard at 9 a.m. The parade will follow at 10 a.m. starting at Memorial Park and go down Main Street to the South Common.

The Marching Band, local veterans, scouting groups, local officials will be marching in the parade. Parade organizers have said residents should join the parade as well.

There will be a ceremony at the common following the event in front of the Doughboy Monument. Then the ceremony will move to the Keach Memorial for speeches from local officials.

The on Chilson Ave. will also provide free food and refreshments after the parade.
