New Balance Race to the Beach Relay Coming Through Mansfield

The Mansfield Board of Selectmen voted 5-0 on Wednesday to approve the plan from the New Balance “Reach the Beach” relay to come through Mansfield.

According to the New Balance Web site, the race will run through New Hampshire, Central Massachusetts and ends in Cape Cod. The running relay race will be part of a huge venture to complete a 200 mile race in under 24 hours.

According to Mansfield officials, the race will run through the Cabot industrial park and East Street on its way to the Cape.

Mansfield Public Safety Officials have also signed off on the event. The race will donate to various charities, according to the Web site, in return for support during the event.
