Great Halloween Costume Equals Trip to NYC or LA

Will your kid have the most creative Halloween costume on trick-or-treat night? Now is your time to let them shine, and potentially win one big prize.

Today, Patch launches our 2011 Little Pumpkin Costume Challenge. Between now and Oct. 31, we'll be accepting photos of your children, age 12 and under, in their Halloween costumes. We'll pick one local kid whose costume rises above the rest, then pass that entry along to compete in a national Patch contest, where celebrity judge Heidi Klum will ultimately select a Grand Prize winner.

The Grand Prize? Patch will whisk the winner to New York or Los Angeles for a two day, three night trip for two that includes a meet and greet with Heidi, plus a donation of $1031 to a local charity of the winner's choice. Nine runners up will also get a $1031 donation from Patch to a local charity of their choice.

Entering is easy. Just upload a photo of your kid, 12 years of age or younger, in his or her Halloween costume to this article. Entrants must be 18 years old or older and the parent or legal guardian of the child photographed. Full rules are here. Photos should be uploaded to this article page with child’s name, entrant’s name, and local charity of choice. That info can be added after the photo is uploaded, by clicking edit photo, and filling in the caption field.

Submissions must be received before 9 p.m. on Halloween night, Oct. 31. The winner will be contacted by email.
