Upcoming Children’s Events at the Mansfield Public Library

Spring has sprung and the Youth Room at the  promises to be a veritable beehive of activity this April. Occupy your children’s minds and imaginations. Come in and participate in some of these events!

Wednesday, April 6, 6:30 PM  -- Pajama Time

Stories and rhymes for ages three and up. No pre-registration required. Wear pajamas and bring a stuffed pal.

Story times continue until Friday, April 8

Ages 2 and under - Tuesdays at 10:15 AM, Fridays at 11 AM

Ages 2-3 – Thursdays at 11 AM

Ages 3-4 – Fridays at 10:15 AM

Ages 4-5 – Thursdays at 10:15 AM and 1 PM

NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK | April 10–16

Book Bugs Club – Beginning Monday April 11, 3:30 PM

Cynthia Rylant’s newest Annie and Snowball book is all about the “Books Bugs Club.” We will celebrate spring with our own Book Bugs Club. Drop in at 3:30 to make your own book club notebook and pencil. During the next six weeks collect stickers as you read, enter our raffles, make a pom pom snowball bunny,, and watch our real caterpillars and ladybugs metamorphose. We’ll finish with a celebration on Saturday May 21. Children may join anything during the next six weeks.

SCHOOL VACATION WEEK – April 17–23

Book Bingo – Tuesday, April 19, 3:45 PM

Play the game that everybody wins. Celebrate book characters. Win books to take home! This program is for ages 5 and up. Pre-registration is required and begins on Monday April 11. Drop in or call to register.

Creature Teachers – Wednesday April 20, 3:30 PM

Experience live animals up close and personal! Creature teachers presents “Animals Around the World,” an entertaining and educational show for children ages 3 and up. No registration required.

Story times begin again the week of April 25!
