YMCA Arts Center to Host Free Performance of The Van Meder Trust This Saturday

The All Stories Theater Company presents a free public performance of the new play "The Van Meder Trust" on Saturday, February 23rd at 7:30pm at the Hockomock YMCA Arts Center, 40 Balcom Street, Mansfield, MA.

The All Stories Theater Company presents a free public performance of the new play “The Van Meder Trust”  on Saturday, February 23rd at 7:30pm at the Hockomock YMCA  Arts Center, 40 Balcom Street, Mansfield, MA.  

Written by Foxboro playwright Beth Danesco, “The Van Meder Trust” is a multi-generational, multi-cultural family drama about a 13-year old girl , survivor of a tumultuous childhood, and the two aunts – one African American, one white South African – who try to steer her through a time of crises.  

Matthew Bruffee of Middleboro will direct a cast which includes:  Molly Beck Ferguson of Plainville, Keena Keel of Devens, Leeanna Singleton of Randolph, Keith Mascoll  of Cambridge, John Trent of Marlborough, Calvin Marcellus Braxton of Malden, Mark Mason of Cochituate and Judith Nelson-Dilday (Boston).

The free, public performance marks the debut of both The All Stories Theater Company and “The Van Meder Trust.” The audience will invited to offer feedback after the show. 

Along with the play, the evening will showcase the artwork of painter Elaine Donnelly and photographer Breck Sargent as well as a special display by The National Black Doll Museum of Mansfield.

“The Van Meder Trust”  is suitable for audience 13 years and up.  The play will last approximately 110 minutes with one intermission. 

Admission is free, first come/first serve. No tickets or reservantions are needed. Donations are welcome at the door.

“The Van Meder Trust” is a proud receipient of a grant from The Mansfield Cultural Council, a local affiliate of The Massachusetts Cultural Council.
