Family Fun Night a huge success in Mansfield.

- Thank you all for joining us this year at the Annual Downtown Business Association Family Fun Night.  It was a perfect night.  Pictures have been posted on our Patch page for all to see.  We hope that you enjoyed yourself as much as we did.  It was great seeing so many friendly faces, meeting new people and seeing good friends too.  Thanks for making this years summer street fest a great event!

-Family Fun Night in Mansfield is a delightful evening with lots of children, fun and community spirit.
Around two weeks ago we were delighted to run a lemonade stand at the Mansfield Family Fun Night benefiting our Camp Gan Israel. the children were eager to sell lemonade and worked hard all night at their booth. They were very focused and as other children passed by with face paint, free giveaways and treats these group of campers wouldn't leave their booth.
As the suns set & the passerbyers seem to dwindle down the children volunteers were very eager to get their own lightsticks. After 20 minutes of searching in the wrong way they finally came to Barrows Insurance Agency, the hour was late and they already closed up shop and had no more lightsticks to give. Jay Barrows has always impressed me as a community advocate and outstanding businessman and State Rep.
Even though the hour was late and he must have been exhausted from meeting and greeting people for many hour; when he saw the disappointed children he stopped mid-conversation went back into his office and searched and searched until he found a new box of glow sticks. He opened a new box and gave each of the 9 children their own stick and show them how it worked.
So thank you to Jay Barrows for taking the time to personally make the children happy, & as a mom in Mansfield I'm thankful that we have such wonderful community representative that goes the extra mile for each child in our community.
In Gratitude,
Tzivi Kivman
