Your morning Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and doughnut may soon get more expensive.
Dunkin’ Donuts plans to increase prices on its menu in the wake of higher coffee prices because of wet weather in Central America and droughts in Brazil, which have destroyed coffee crops.
Nigel Travis, CEO of Dunkin’ Brands, said the price of Dunkin’ coffee will increase slightly, but the added cost of coffee will be spread across multiple products.
Dunkin’ Donuts is increasing prices after J.M. Smucker, the company that sells coffee to Dunkin’ Donuts coffee in supermarkets, announced it was raising prices by an average of 9% because of weather problems in Central America and Brazil.
