Local Chamber Offers Social Media Training

Where do you go for local social media training?

Over the past three years, the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce has become the hub of social media learning for the Mansfield, Foxboro and Norton area.

With the increase of interest in social media, however, they are starting to draw from the Greater Attleboro area, Plymouth and even Cape Cod.  What makes the Tri-Town Chamber workshops so popular?

The workshops offered by the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce range from beginner to advanced.  They touch on subjects such as setting up a LinkedIn profile and building connection lists that build your business.  In addition they’ve added workshops that help businesses integrate traditional and social media in the areas of networking, personal branding and marketing.

Low Cost.

All workshops are open to the entire community.  They are free for Tri-Town Chamber members and only $10.00 for non-members.  Each workshop lasts approximately 90 minutes so they are a great value.

Special for Job Seekers.

Two years ago, the Tri-Town Chamber opened its LinkedIn workshops to Job Seekers free of charge to help support the community.  Over that time, they’ve helped nearly 100 people begin to use LinkedIn as a tool for their job search.

Frequent.

The Tri-Town Chamber offers at least one social media workshop a month, adding additional workshops as needed.

Expertise.

All the workshops are facilitated by business owners actually using social media in their own businesses.  Some of the members who regularly present are; John Bates: The Job-Guy and Greg DeSimone, business coach with Focal Point Coaching.

If you are interested in future workshops, check out the events calendar on the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce website, http://www.tri-townchamber.org.
