Today the Mansfield Hornets boys' basketball team will learn who their first opponent will be in the MIAA Division 1 South tournament when the brackets for the north and south sectionals are announced today.
The Hornets are expected to be rewarded the number 1 seed which could give the Hornets a bye into the next round.

3. Volunteers Needed for Great American Cleanup of Mansfield
Keep Mansfield Beautiful is now looking for volunteers to take part in the Great American Cleanup of Mansfield on April 27 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
After the cleanup, volunteers are invited to a special picnic at the Comcast Center. To sign up, click here.
4. Members Needed for Boards
The following boards and committees have openings:
- Historical Commission - 1 member
- Board of Directors of the Mansfield Housing Corporation - 6 member seats .
- Keep Mansfield Beautiful- 1 member needed
- Industrial & Development Commission (IDC) - 4 members needed

5. Two New Board Members in Town
Congratulation to James Rathburn for being appointed to the zoning board of appeals and John Shannon for his appointment to the Canoe River Aquifer Committee.
Rathbun previously spend 1 1/2 years as an alternate member of the ZBA while Shannon showed an interest in serving on the Canoe River Aquifer Committee after spending years attending meetings.
Currently, Shannon is a graduate student at the University of Rhode Island studying enviormantal science.
