  • Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm after midnight.

3. Water and Sewer Rate Increased

This week, the Mansfield selectmen approved an increase in water and sewer rates by six percent.

According to DPW Chief Lee Azinheira, the hike is part of an effort to cover the costs of service and capital expenses needed to maintain and expand current facilities.

The hike was originally was expected to be ten percent but delay in expansion plans allowed for a lower increase.

 

4. Mansfield Elks Carnival

The Mansfield Elks Spring Carnival will be at the Comcast Center though May 5. The carnival will be open 6 p.m. -11 p.m. on Friday, noon - 11 p.m.on Saturday, and noon - 5 p.m. on Sunday.
