It's Monday, January 21 and here are the five things you need to know!

1. Today's Weather From the National Weather Service

  • Today: A chance of snow, mainly after 4pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 29. West wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Tonight: Snow showers likely, mainly after 10pm. Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 17. Calm wind becoming north around 6 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

 

2. No School Today

3. Celebrate Martin Luther King Day at Mansfield High School

The Doll E Daze Project Inc, & National Black Doll Museum of Mansfield
will hold the 2013 MLK Holiday Unity Celebration today from 11:00 a.m-2:00 p.m. at Mansfield High School.

Dr. Jean McGuire, executive director and founder of METCO Inc, will be the keynote speaker. 

Tickets are $5 per person.

 

4. Mansfield Hornets Sports Today

  • Boys' Basketball @ Canton, 6:30 p.m.
  • Girls' Basketball vs. Canton, 6:30 p.m.
  • Gymnastics vs. King Philip, 11:00 a.m.

 

5. Family Flu Clinic

A Family Flu Clinic will be held on Thursday, January 24 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Mansfield Town Hall, 6 Park Row, third floor meeting room. Mansfield residents four years and older and town employees, will be eligible for free flu vaccine by injection.

The supply of flu vaccine is limited and will be available by appointment only. Please call the Health Department at 508-261-7366 to make an appointment.
