5 Things Weekend Edition: Car Wash, Bake Sale, and Garden Club Sale

2. Mansfield Hornets Sports This Weekend

The Mansfield Hornets will compete at the 2013 Hockomock League Track and Field Championship Meet on May 19 at North Attleboro.

The boys will go for their 11th title in a row while the girls look to return win their first title since 2011.

Field events start at 11 a.m. and running events begin at 2 p.m.

3. Yard and Bake Sales

 On May 18, there will be a yard sale fundraiser to benefit Haley's Heroes Relay for Life Team on 48 South Main Street. Many household goods, dress up clothes, toys, books and more!

Haley's Heroes Relay for Life Team is comprised of both adults and youth members.  It was created five years ago by Don and Brenda Pierce in honor of their niece who died in 2009 after a long battle with a rare form of brain cancer.

Cookies/lemonade will also be sold - those proceeds will be donated to the Boston One Fund.

From 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Girl Scout Troop 80911 will be having a bake sale at the Mansfield Green to raise money towards their adopt-a-spot. 

4. Gridiron Club of Mansfield Car Wash-a-thon

The Mansfield High School football team and the Gridiron Club will hold the Car Wash-a-thon on May 18 at the Mansfield Mobil from 9 a.m. - noon.

5. Garden Club Sale

The Mansfield Garden Club will hold their annual plant sale on May 18 from 9 a.m. to noon on the South Common.
