5 Things You Need to Know For March 24
Jobs fair, a concert, good coffee and good conversation highlight the day's events.
1. The United Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Office of Congressman James McGovern and Bristol Community College are sponsoring a Job Hunters’ Boot Camp Thursday, March 24. The event will be held in the Bristol Community College Attleboro campus auditorium, 11 Field St., Attleboro, from 9 a.m-. noon. Featured speakers include McGovern, Executive Director of Workforce Development Jennifer James and Commonwealth Corporation CEO Nancy Snyder. A variety of seminars are being offered, including Helping the Mature Job Seeker, Put YOU in Your Resume, Social Networking for the Uncomfortable, Healthcare and Non-Profit Careers, What You Need to Know to Get a Job, and Interview Skills That Lead to Job Offers
2. Connecting the Dots: Mansfield will be held at the Qualters Middle School Auditorium Wednesday, April 6. ONE Massachusetts, Mansfield Stand for Children and the Mansfield Democratic Committee will be sponsoring a talk on how state and local budget priorities or tax polices impact a community. The Mansfield Republican Committee will also be represented in the presentation, which starts at 7 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m. For more information, email Mansfield@stand.org.
3. The Congo Cafe, 17 West St, Mansfield, (The Orthodox Congregational Church of Mansfield) will be open from 9-10:30 a.m. It's a morning of coffee, conversation and goodies.
