Armed Robbery Suspect Caught After Chase Across Foxborough/Mansfield Border

A person wanted for armed robbery is now in police custody after a chase down Route 95, through the woods on the Foxborough/Mansfield border, and into a Foxborough backyard.

At 12:15 p.m. today, Massachusetts State Police arrested a multiple armed robbery suspect after a search through the woods ended in a backyard on Grove Street.

The suspect, whose identity is not being released at this time, is alleged to have committed armed robberies at the Abington Liquor Store, a Tedeschi’s in Brockton, and a gas station in East Bridgewater.

After putting out a description the suspect's vehicle vehicle, Norfolk County Sheriff’s Deputy was able to spot it on Route 95 South.

With assistance from the deputy who provided updates of on the vehicle’s location while patrols responded, Troop H were able to pick up and pursuit the car down the highway.

The suspect vehicle ended up crashing on Route 95 near the interchange with Route 495 in the vicinity of the Mansfield-Foxboro line. The suspect fled into woods along the side of the highway. Patrols, assisted by State Police K9 units and the department’s Air Wing, initiated a search. The suspect was quickly located in a backyard of a home on Grove Street in Foxboro and taken into custody.
