The following meetings and events will be held in Mansfield this week:

Tuesday, February 5

Healthy Living Tips From the Mansfield Mothers Club, 7:00 p.m., Mansfield Public Library

The Mansfield Mothers’ Club will sponsor a talk by Kristi Marsh, author, public speaker, non-profit founder and an Easton neighbor of ours. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m., in the Mansfield Public Library, 255 Hope St.

After being diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer at age 36 and mom to three young children Kristi started on a quest to eliminate harmful chemicals from her life and environment. Now she is a proponent for environmental health and has passion is to share her knowledge and journey with others.

Zoning Board of Appeals, 7:30 p.m., room 2 a/b, Town Hall

The board will have a variance public hearing for 23 Horace Street and the property's rear and front yard setbacks.

 

Wednesday, February 6

Board of Selectmen, 7:00 p.m., room 3 a/b, Town Hall

The selectmen will meet starting at 7:00 p.m. Click here to see their agenda.

Planning Board, 7:00 p.m., room 2 a/b, Town Hall

The board will have a discussion with Michael Milano and Jordan Durham on the Lincoln Place subdivision.

 

Thursday, February 7

Airport Commission, 7:00 p.m., Building H, Airport

Board of Health, 7:00 p.m., Meeting Room 2 a/b. Town Hall

The board will vote to approve a Septage Pumping and Transporting Permit for J. Hockman, Inc., Miles of Excavating, and Wind River Environmental.

Finance Committee, 7:30 p.m.

Town Accountant John Stanbrook will review the scenario of the governor's proposals and budget and look at new budget scenarios based on these proposals.

 

Friday, February 8

The Winter Fling at the Mansfield VFW, 7:00 p.m., Mansfield VFW

The fling will feature The Crisis Band. Dinner and dancing is $10.00 per person. Tickets are available in advance at The Post. Come on down and see the newly renovated hall and lounge.

 

Saturday, February 9

Mansfield Democratic Caucus, 2:00 p.m., Building H, Mansfield Airport

The Mansfield Democrats will be electing 10 delegates and 3 alternates, equally divided among gender lines to represent Mansfield at the Democratic State Convention on June 1 in Lowell.

The caucus proceedings are open to the public but only Mansfield voters who were registered Democrats by December 31, 2012 may vote or may run for delegate.
