Around Town: Silent Movie Night, Town Manager's Evaluation, and Planning the Perfect Garden

The following meetings and events will be held in Mansfield this week:

April 30

Zumba Fitness Class @ Congressional Church, 5:30 p.m.

We believe working out should be effectivee and fun, but also accessible. Your first class is *FREE*. After that, our classes are only $5.00 per class with no long-term commitment.

Be sure to bring a towel and a water bottle as you will sweat. But also be prepared to enjoy an hour that is so much fun you won't realize you're working out!

May 1

Selectmen Meeting @ Town Hall, 7 p.m.

Agenda items include the evaluation of Town Manager Bill Ross, a review of the town warrant with the selectmen taking a position on the articles, and a discussion regarding the North Common flag pole.

May 2

Rec Softball @ Memorial Park, 6:30 p.m.

A non-competitive program in a pick-up format with teams forming each Thursday evening for adults age 18 and over. Games will take place at the Memorial Park Softball Field.

Fee: $25 Residents, $35 Non-residents


May 4

Your Best Ever Vegetable Garden @ Mansfield Public Library, 10:30 p.m.

Betty is an accomplished gardener, designing the 6000 square foot organically maintained vegetable garden at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society. Her "Horticulture Hints" appear monthly in the Mass Hort Leaflet.

Silent Movie Night @ Congressional Church, 7 p.m.

Tickets will be available at the door;  $5 adults, $3 kids 12 and under.

Popcorn and refreshments will be served.
