Brendan Hill Receives First Offer From UMass-Amherst

The Mansfield High School football and basketball player has received his first college offer from UMass.

The University of Massachusetts-Amherst has given Mansfield basketball and football sensation Brendan Hill his first offer after the soon to be junior completed the Minutemen's prospect camp over the weekend at Gillette Stadium.

Hill said earlier this year he was getting invitations to the camps but Hockomock Sports was the first to report of the offer.

During the Hornets' 2012 football season, Hill led the team in receptions (48), receiving yards (849), yards per catch (17.7), and touchdown receptions (11).

On the basketball court, Hill averaged 13.4 points a game and helped lead the Hornets to their first ever appearance in the Division 1 State Championship game.
