Cavallo and Signoriello's New Building Under Way

Construction to end by 2014.

Ben Cavallo and Keith Signoriello have planned their new building for almost a year now, and construction has finally started.

“The goal is to be done by the end of 2013,” Signoriello said. “We’re supposed to be all moved in at the end of the year.”

The company, after purchasing Colonial Insurance a year and a half ago, needed more space. They work out of two offices right now.

Though the building was built in the 50s by the pair’s fathers and holds some historical significance in the town, it was just too small for their business.

Mansfield selectman Doug Annino designed the building, which is going to have 6,500 square feet of space with two rental units to be available for professional space in the town.

“The building is his input combined with his needs with our needs for our business,” Signoriello said. “He did a great job for us, we worked on the layout. We wanted to have a building that was aesthetically pleasing. We weren’t looking to put up a generic box. It’s got a lot of class."

Cavallo said though it’s been a long project with several delays, the new building should be done on time.

“It should go quick now too, there have been a lot delays, but now you’re going to see a lot of progress rapidly,” Cavallo said.
