Commuter Rail Service Back on Line in Mansfield

Commuter rail service has been restored in Mansfield.

All commuter rail service between Mansfield and Providence has been restored after suffering downed power lines as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

Amtrak has completed all repairs to the line allowing Massachusetts Bay Commuter Rail (MBCR) to operate the full scheduled service beginning with the 9:55 a.m. train (#805) outbound from South Station. In addition, the first inbound service from Providence will be the 11:15 a.m. (816) and the first inbound train from Wickford Junction will be the 1:10 p.m. train (#818).
