School Vacation starts today

1. School vacation kicks off today, and there are some fun activities for children lined up during the week. in Easton is hosting a . Sign ups allow for the whole week or selected days. Activities include but are not limited to rock climbing, boating, fishing, gymnastics, a pleathera of sports and arts and crafts. is celebrating its 50th birthday today, offering many youth activities as well. Special events include face painting, lessons on Mayan day symbols, Rosa's Recipies, a visit from the Animal World Experience, a show of magic from Random Effects Entertainment and more magice from Awesome Robb. All events are free with a cover charge of $6.

2. in Mansfield is starting signups for its No Monkey Business weight loss contest. Participants are invited to come and sign up.

3. in Foxborough is hosting a photo event this afternoon. Come and take a photo on the field of the three-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots. You can get your photo by donating a new or gently used clothing item, a $25 donation to Cradles to Crayons or present a receipt from a same-day purchase at a Patriot Place retailer. Event goes from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

4. in Wrentham is hosting a blood drive today starting at 2 p.m. and going until 7 p.m. The drive is sponsored by the American Red Cross and the Knights of Columbus. All donors will receive a coupon for a free signature burrito from Qdoba.
