1. Mostly sunny today with a high of 78. Some isolated showers possible between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. This evening will have a few scattered clouds, otherwise clear with a low nearing 60.

3. The Mansfield COA celebrates today from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. This free event features refreshments and arts and crafts activities for pre-school age grandchildren.

4. The DPW valve replacement project begins today and is scheduled to run through Wednesday, September 14. School bus routes and emergency vehicles will not be effected by the project. The DPW Water Division will hand deliver notices to customers who are directly impacted.

5. There will be a today from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 259 Massapoag Ave. (Borderland State Park) in Easton. Equipment can be provided, but there are limited number of poles available. Bait provided. Meet at The Lodge on Lower Leach Pond. Rain cancels.
