Five Things You Need to Know March 28

Mansfield Water Division to resume flushing program, park and rec program registration, classic film and Egypt in the modern world.

1. As mentioned , today the Mansfield Water Division will resume hydrant flushing in West Mansfield tonight at midnight. Drivers are warned to watch out for workers flushing hydrants, as well as potentially hazardous conditions the large amounts of water on the road from the hydrant flushing.

2.  starts registration for spring and summer programs today. Programs available for the spring registration include tennis lessons for ages five to adult, and there are also sign ups for the tennis league. Pick up basketball, tennis, softball, women's tennis and women's soccer are also available. You can also sign up for Power Circuit Cardio and Strength Training.

3. is hosting , a lecture on modern Egypt focusing on the periods before and after the overthrough of tyrannical dictator Hosni Mubarak. Dr. Naglaa Saad Mohamed Hassan from Fayoum University, Egypt, will be speaking about her experiences and knowledge of life in in the region, and the impact and implications the overthrow has on Egyptian culture. She is a Fulbright Scholar in residence at Bridgewater State Colloege. The lecture starts at 7 p.m., and is free and open to the public.

4. Patriot Place is hosting the Silver Screen Classics at the Showcase Cinema de Lux. Today's film is the 1950s comedy At War with the Army, staring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. The story centers around two hapless recruits in boot camp during World War II. The show starts at 1 p.m., and costs $2 for admission, popcorn and soda.
