Kosilek's Sex Change Operation in Jeopardy

A confidentiality rules violation could put the convicted murder's sex-change at risk.

A federal judge has told former Mansfield resident and convicted murderer Michelle Kosilek that she could lose her chance at a taxpayer-sex change operation if she violates count  confidentiality rules again according to FOX 25.

According to U.S. District Court Judge Mark Wolf, confidentiality rules were broken when Kosilek used a friend to contact a doctor willing to perform the surgery via email. Wolf wrote that a second violation could jeopardize the procedure for Kosilek.

Kosilek, who is currently serving a life sentence after being found guilty of murdering his wife in 1990, changed his legal name to Michelle almost 20 years ago and is living at MCI-Norfolk state prison.
