Mansfield Memorial Day Parade Planned For This Morning

Mansfield will hold their annual Memorial Day parade this Monday.

Monday morning, Mansfield will hold their annual Memorial Day Parade, honoring those who have served America.

The day will start at 8 a.m. with their annual Memorial Day Mass at St. Mary's Cemetery on Franklin Street. All members of the public are welcomed to attend and are asked to bring their own lawn chair for the Mass.

In the event of rain, the Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church at 330 Pratt Street.

Afterwards, the annual parade will start at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park and travel down Church Street, up Chilson Avenue, left on Chauncy Street, and a left down North and South Main Street before ending at the South Common.

There will be a brief presentation at the Doughboy statue followed by a ceremony at the Keach Memorial Wall on West Street between the South Common and the Mansfield Police Station.

Following the parade, there the Mansfield VFW will serve refreshments at 88 Chilson Avenue.
