Rock Star Arrested in Attleboro Won't Continue on Band's Tour

Michael Todd, the bassist for the band Coheed and Cambria, was arrested in Attleboro on Sunday before his band was to open for Soundgarden at the Comcast Center in Mansfield.

Michael Todd, the bassist for the band Coheed and Cambria, will not finish his group's tour after he was arrested in Attleboro Sunday for  on Pleasant Street.

The band made the announcement on its Facebook page, stating that Todd was arrested "on what we consider very serious charges and therefore he will not be finishing up the current tour."

Long-time band member Wes Styles will take on bass duties, according to the band. No shows will be canceled.

Todd was arrested and charged with armed robbery and possession of a Class B controlled substance. He is being held at on $10,000 cash bail and is expected to be arraigned today in court.

According to Attleboro Det. Sgt. Art Brillon, police were told that a man had threatened a Walgreens pharmacist with a bomb threat and demanded Oxycontin. After obtaining six bottles, he allegedly fled in a cab. Since Coheed and Cambria was playing at the Comcast Center in Mansfield that night, Attleboro police reached out to Mansfield police, who located the cab and the suspect.

"We are surprised to say the least and will address the situation with Michael after the tour," the band stated on its Facebook page. "For now, we just want to have a great time out here and finish with some killer shows in Boston, Poughkeepsie, Quebec City and Halifax."
