What You Need to Know About Tonight's Summer Jam Concert at the Comcast Center

Jam'n 94.5 brings back Summer Jam to the Comcast Center tonight.

Tonight, Jam'n 94.5  will present their annual Summer Jam concert at the Comcast Center. A yearly tradition, the Boston radio station will present some of the most popular names in rap and R&B. 

Whether you are going to the show or are just looking to avoid the traffic, Mansfield Patch has you covered with everything you need to know about the annual rap and R&B show!

1. Parking

All 16 lots will be open for this event starting at 3:00 p.m. All ticket-holders will be allowed access to the parking lots free of charge. For those interested in VIP parking, it is available for $40 but must be purchased ahead of time. Those with VIP parking are asked to arrive before the start of the show.

For those looking for a quicker exit, there are two privately owned lots across the street and next to the Comcast Center. Both lots charge $30 for parking.

Police do provide safe crossing for those parked across the street and the lot next door does have a direct and safe path into the Comcast Center. 

2. The First Big Test

On May 29, the selectmen called this show the first big test for the new safety procedures set into place this year. With no show attended by more than 12,000 people so far, Summer Jam is expected to be one of the bigger shows in the early part of the concert season.

3. Dos and Don'ts

  • There is no smoking allowed in the reserved seating section of the Comcast Center.
  • You may take photos with your camera but flash photography, video or cameras with removable lens are not allowed.
  • One unopened bottle of water may be brought in and food is allowed as long as it fits into a one gallon soft cooler.

4. Watch Out For Traffic

Due to the lots opening at 3 p.m., traffic and delays around the area should be expected during the late afternoon and evening.

5. When Do the Gates Open?

The Comcast Center will let people in starting at 4:30 p.m. with an expected start time of 5:30 p.m. Once the show starts the set list is as follows:

  • B Smyth- 5:30-5:45
  • Kat Dahlia- 5:50-6:05
  • Drop City Yacht Club- 6:10-6:25
  • John Hart- 6:30-6:45
  • Eve- 6:50-7:15
  • Lupe Fiasco- 7:20-7:50
  • Wale- 8:00-8:30
  • Sean Kingston- 8:40-9:10
  • Chris Brown- 9:25-10:10
