Common Core Informational Session

Interested in learning more about Common Core? 

Join us February 25th, 7 p.m. for an informative session at MHS. 

Speakers will include:

Dr. Sandra  Stotsky has held multiple positions in education, including with the Massachusetts DESE. She is a former member of the Common Core Validation Committee, but refused to sign off on the standards as adopted. 

Linda M. Noonan is Executive Director of the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education. MBAE recommended adoption of Common Core in MA in 2010 and remains strongly in favor of the standards. www.mbae.org

Jamie Gass is Director of the Pioneer Institute’s Center for School Reform and has over 2 decades of experience in education reform and public administration. Pioneer Institute has been outspoken in questioning Common Core. www.pioneerinstitute.org

Mary Anne Alliegro has over 30 years of experience in scientific research and education issues. She is a member of Liberty Chalkboard, an organization opposed to Common Core. www.libertychalkboard.org

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has declined to participate.
